Andy McCartney works at the intersection of pop culture, mass media and conceptual art. His practice draws from Jeff Koons, Damien Hirst, Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol — transforming consumer icons into critical objects that question value, desire and collective identity.

A member of the Vandalism movement, McCartney channels the voice of the collective unconscious — communication, expression, and the power of the image.
